It seems like every year Easter becomes this day PACKED FULL of family activities. Which, apart from being a little stressful and exhausting I truly enjoy!! This year our day began as it always does at the church breakfast before first service - pancakes, eggs and bacon -Yum! Then we spent a wonderful time of worship at church (the praise band did an amazing job with fiddles and guitars - very bluegrass which is what I LOVE!) And the sermon (as always) was awesome! I left feeling spiritually rejuvenated and ready for Easter feasting and Egg hunting. The first feast began at my mom's house with her sister and their kids and grandkids(some of which I hadn't seen in awhile and it was SOOOO nice to catch up on things). Then we had an Easter egg hunt with the kids which is always so much fun to watch. After filling the baskets we decided to fill out bellies a bit more and head to grams for dessert. Strawberry shortcake and Shari's pies!!! Around 4:30 pm we headed over to Jeremy's side of the family and did yet another Easter egg hunt with the kids and their cousins. We had another feast with more dessert and enjoyed each other's company.
Like every Easter it was a memorable one!! So thankful for a wonderful family (on both sides) and the promise of eternal life in heaven with my Savior after what he did for us on the cross. What a great day!
