Random confessions, thoughts, musings . . . .

Once when I was little I cut my 4th toe off while riding my bike barefoot - I got it caught on an old rusty mailbox. No worries - the doctors - even in the 80s were able to sew it right back on. However, from time to time when I'm really cold I can't feel it and it hurts. Weird!

I like peanut butter on my pancakes and on my waffles

I hate the fact that I don't enjoy cleaning - except vaccuming!

I get frustrated sometimes when my kids act their age!

I am paranoid that my kids will end up getting childhood cancer or other serious illnesses. And I am more paranoid that they will get Autism or other brain related damage due to immunizations so we have chosen not to immunize. I'm fortunate enough to have a lovingly heavenly father who has entrusted this parenting right to us and feel completely at peace with our decisions - still - there are those times!!

I love St. Patrick's Day and I really don't know why. I have never tried Irish Ale, don't like the color orange or gold, don't enjoy little men with orange beards BUT I HAVE been to Ireland and I LOVED every minute of it and talk about going back all the time. I LOVE the color green and I LOVE rainbows and legends. Maybe that's why!! don't quite know!

I would eat cereal for any meal of the day including snacks. Maybe I will one day - I declare National Cereal Day to be March 15th! I'm totally doing it~!

I have thought about heaven a lot lately since my grandparents have passed and have actually become accustomed to the idea that we are mortal and getting closer to our death a little more each day. That thought used to scare me - but now - it's beginning to be a comforting thought. I don't belong here anyways - I'll do my bit and leave for home. No need to fear it! And I'm beginning to accept that and be a little excited for it.

I would love to spend an hour in a room full of all different sizes of bouncy balls.

My favorite actors are Danny Kay, Christian Bale, Dick Van Dyke, Michael Cane, Sam Elliott, Don Knotts, Mel Gibson, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington

Nicholas Cage and John Travolta are no good at acting

Jane Eyre is the best love story of all time. Pride and Prejudice comes in as a close second.

Roald Dahl and Dr. Seuss are my favorite children's authors

I really want to learn how to play the bagpipes!

I LOVE the elderly! I can see them as who they've been and they see me as who I can become and their encouraging words, wise insight and warnings are a treasure for future generations.

I think I want to write a book.

I'm also thinking about diving into the world of my ancestry and see what I can dig up.

Sometimes my love for my kids runs so deep I think I'm going to burst at the seams.

I recently discovered the art of crochet and I LOVE it!

cinnamon, nutmeg, garlic powder and onion salt are my most used spices in my cooking. Not all in the same recipe though - bleh!

I'm beginning to like coffee with just a little half & half instead of creamer. I'm getting older - it's a sure sign!

I really want to live on some land and have chickens, pigs, sheep and horses (no cows - I'm afraid of being kicked!)

Sometimes I buy Addison gifts that I would have wanted when I was a kid - or things that I want her to have so that I can play with them. A bit selfish on my part? yep I think so!

I am a people watcher and could be completely entertained sitting on a park bench for an entire day in New York City doing nothing but watching people. And drinking coffee of course!

Settlers of Catan has got to be one of the greatest games ever invented

I really want to put a colored stripe in my hair someday - like maybe green or purple. But I'm 32 and that would be kind of weird.

I dream of reading a good book, under an apple tree and having my feet float in a quiet stream with no bugs or interruptions. Only in heaven I suppose :)

I love huckleberries! And huckleberry milkshakes are the best thing EVER!!!

My son LOVES mushrooms!!!

I often have feelings of inadequacy - as a wife, mother, teacher, daughter, sister, and friend. I think it's a special demon called "inadequacy" that rides on the shoulders of all women and screams in her ear way too often. I wonder if the next time I feel that feeling if I said, "be gone from me Satan in the name of Jesus" if that feeling would disappear. I'm totally trying it next time. - - - - - - - - - - - - -  it worked :)

My daughter dresses better than me - and I'm o.k. with that!

I bought my 2 year old son boxer briefs and they are the cutest thing in the world.

I may start my day listening to praise music (on my way to school), move into alphabet songs and the hokey pokey (at school), then into some instrumental classics (during workshop time or after school), followed by some swing records (while cooking dinner), then into some Aerosmith or Michael Jackson (for cleaning), and then some movie soundtracks (for falling asleep).

I'm not one for talking on the phone for too long!

That's it - this post has been brewing for awhile now! Just randomness and thoughts that I may want to look back on one day and laugh or remember. In a few days I'll probably start another randomness one to post at a later date. Randomness is always a work in progress! :)

I love your random thoughts. They just confirm why I like you so much!!! I have yet to play Settlers of Catan. Maybe when we do dinner you can bring it over and teach it to Chad and I. I have a feeling that we would really enjoy it!
